How do I send in artwork / logo to use on my award?

How do I send in artwork / logo to use on my award?

If placing your order online, we recommend uploading your high-resolution art file directly on our website.

If you have placed your order via phone with an Awards Specialist, you can email your artwork to customart@crownawards.com and your logo file/engraving Easy Entry form to engrave@crownawards.com

Make sure to reference your order # in the subject line of the email
What artwork / logo file types does Crown accept?

I'm uploading my logo but I don't know what file type to use?

We prefer the following file types for a logo: ai , eps, pdf, psd, jpeg, png, tif.

We recommend sending in the largest file available. Our Design Specialists will re-size your artwork / logo to the best fit for your award!
How do I know if my image is high resolution or poor quality?

How do I know if my image is high resolution or poor quality?

The file size and visual appearance is a great indicator of quality. If your image previews blurry or small on your computer screen, it is most likely low resolution and will not print/engrave well. If your image previews clear with sharp edges and views large, the file resolution should be a good quality for Crown to use! Vector (original creation) files such as ai, eps, and pdfs are the best quality.

What if the image quality I send in is low resolution?

Unfortunately, low/poor quality images will not print/engrave clearly. We recommend you send in the highest resolution/largest file size available to ensure a high-quality result. Our specialists will work their magic and send you an approval form to check before your item enters production. If we can’t produce any solution to the file submitted, we will reach out to request a better image.

Why was my artwork / logo unable to be used on my order?

There are several reasons that we may ask you for a different file when ordering:
  • The file provided is poor quality and lacks enough detail or clarity to reproduce accurately.
  • The file/instructions submitted is too detailed or requested too much text for allotted design spacing.
  • We were unable to open the file submitted.
  • The artwork is too complex, and we cannot create a simplified solution to recommend.
  • The artwork / logo contains inappropriate or offensive material.
  • The artwork / logo contains copyright infringement.
What type of designs work best for logo?

What type of designs work best for logo?

We recommend using simple designs for the best result. Artwork that is especially complex, including photos, will be simplified in order to recreate it in a vector format to engrave the best quality.
What type of fonts can I use?

What type of fonts can I use?

For best quality, we recommend using the stock fonts carefully pre-selected by our Product Design Experts. For custom artwork / logos, we can use just about any font. When ordering, please offer us as much instruction as possible to the style font you’re interested in: script, bold, serif, sans-serif, grunge/distorted, etc. If you want to use a specific font style, we ask that you email us the .ttf or .otf font file to install.

How can I rearrange my award layout to put the logo in the center or at the bottom of my engraving?

Is it possible for me to have some text, a logo, and then text on my award?

We can engrave the logo and engraving in that fashion for you. To do so, please email us at customerservice@crownawards.com. Please include your engraving text in the email. That way you can tell the engraving department how you would like to have your layout to be.

Yes, our Design Specialists would be happy to assist you with any design changes like adding text, changing a font, changing a color, or adding/removing details! Please submit all instructions at the same time as your artwork / logo upload or emailed file to receive one free approval form/proof. Artwork changes may be subject to an $25 automatic additional charge.

Yes, we would be happy to double check to see if your logo is on file or you can also search on our website by signing in to your account.

How long is my artwork / logo saved on file for?

Crown saves all artwork or logos on file for active accounts only. An active account is one that has a minimum of 1 order using that file per year.
What is a logo setup fee?

What is a logo setup fee?

A logo setup fee is a one-time charge when new logo or artwork is used/created for your order. We will gladly waive this fee when the quantity ordered meets our minimum for that item.

The logo setup fee is a one-time payment on similar award types. For example, an engraved award requires different artwork from a printed award. You will not be charged to use the same logo file across multiple similar awards, or re-orders once this logo is on file at Crown in an active account.
When using a logo or artwork on file, would I have to pay the setup fee again?

I used a logo with you last time I ordered, do I have to pay the logo fee again?

The logo setup fee is a one-time payment on similar award types for the first time you use this logo with us. After that, your logo will be on file for that award type to use again, at no cost to you, as long as your account stays active.

The logo setup fee is a one-time payment on similar award types. For example, an engraved award requires different artwork from a printed award. You will not be charged the logo fee if the award type is the same for your other items.

Color printing is an option only for select Crown exclusive awards. If you would like to order an award with color printing, please look in the “color section” of the item you’re interested on our website.

We print in CMYK, which is a four-color process printing also referred to as offset printing.
Will I have to pay the color setup fee for each award to have my logo in color?

What if they are in color? Will I have to pay the $6 charge for each award with color?

Many of our awards can carry a logo in color for an additional $6 charge. Each award you would like with a logo in color requires a color setup fee of $6.

Yes, any change to your artwork / logo on file will count as a new logo set up and includes a fee. This includes changing the text, a year, colors, etc. Fees can be waived if items meet the minimum quantity requirements.

It depends on the award and the logo. You can check with our Engraving department by emailing your logo images to customerservice@crownawards.com.
How can I use both stock art and my logo on the same award?

Can I use my logo and your stock etchings at the same time on this award?

Yes, if there is room to add a logo to our etch award, you may need to limit the amount of text in order to add another logo. Please email customerservice@crownawards.com and an Awards Specialist will be very happy to help you.

We can absolutely accommodate this process! To do so, please contact our Customer Service Team at customerservice@crownawards.com . You will also need to email us your engraving and color logo file with instructions so our Engraving Experts can create the award you desire.

You will receive a rendered proof for final approval of only the order portion that has a customizable artwork / logo request. Other items on order without artwork / logo will not be shown. Engraving proofs are not included with artwork proofs and will be sent separately also for items with artwork / logo only.

Extra charges to your card may be due to artwork revisions or extra engraving. Please note, Crown offers 40 characters free for engraving per item, and 1 free revision on artwork orders. If you would like further explanation, please email customerservice@crownawards.com, and an Awards Specialist will happily look into the charges for you.

You will receive a rendered proof showing only the customizable area of your award, with artwork / logo request.

In order to meet all our customer’s event dates, production automatically starts immediately after receiving your approval. We request that proofs are reviewed carefully before approving.
